How to commission a portrait?<\/div>

In most cases I would suggest you contact me before to discuss your commission, along with your chosen photos.
I can also offer guidance when it comes to choosing the right photos, to get the right results for the perfect outcome of your portrait.

I will need a suitable photo of your subject(s) to create your portrait, as I draw these hand drawn portraits from your photos only. Reference photos must be in good resolution (No blurry images please)
I am more than happy to offer direction when it comes to choosing the right dimensions for a portrait.
I would recommend a simpler head and shoulder portrait for the smaller sizes I offer.
If you want the portrait full body then I would suggest a larger size
The standard sizes I offer are A4, A3, and A2, but I would be happy to do any size you would like.
Dimensions are, A4 (210 x 297 mm), A3, (297 x 420 mm), A2 (420 x 594 mm).
Once we have both agreed to start the portrait, then I will book you in.
You'd have to pay the deposit, it's a 1\/4 or 1\/2 or the full price if it's more convenient fro you, of the price that we agree on.
Then just wait for me to contact you again with the complete image of the portrait.
What I do is scan the portrait, and send you an image to your email address to view and approve.
Once you are happy, I will then ask for the full payment, in case you payed the deposit, which I ask you to kindly pay within 7 days of receiving the invoice.
The payment can be made using PayPal or any Credit or Debit Card via form that I will provide in an email.
Once paid then your parcel will be send via insured post.

Do I need a deposit?<\/div>

You'd have to pay the deposit, it's a 1\/4 or 1\/2 of the full price. If it's more convenient for you to pay a full price at once, feel free to do so. The deposit protects the artist from working in vain.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What happens if I think there’s something not quite right with the portrait?<\/div>

Is it possible to draw photographs from separate photos?<\/div>

You can have your portrait done from separate photo\u2019s, but try to get the light source on the photographs similar to each other, (although this can be adapted).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

How fast is delivery, what courier is used, how much is it?<\/div>

Time of delivery and price depends on the delivery service used and\u00a0on a country sent to.<\/p>\n

Classic post delivery will cost you 8-15 \u20ac and will reach you within 1-2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks in case of holidays.<\/p>\n

Secure tracked express shipping is 50\u00a0\u20ac.\u00a0It will reach you within 3 days, worldwide.<\/p>\n

Are there any other charges besides the cost of the portrait?<\/div>

There are no extra charges besides the cost of the portrait and shipping to go on top, what you see is what you pay.

Is my portrait insured for damage or loss in post?<\/div>

Yes your portrait is fully insured, not by the courier but by me, \u00a0in the case it\u2019s lost or damaged on the road, I will redo your portrait, but no refund is given.
\nI would have to rebook you in for the redo, please alow up to 4 weeks for the work to be finished.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Can I pay in installments?<\/div>

Yes, I will be happy to let you pay in 1, 2 or 3 installments, this is only available at certain times of the year, contact me<\/a> before, you won\u2019t be able to receive the portrait until all payments are complete.<\/p>\n

How do you pack the portraits ready for delivery?<\/div>

After your desire I can keep it flat and pack it\u00a0using the best possible product available at that time to keep the paper perfectly flat, but I strongly recommend allowing me to roll it in a hard cardboard tube, that will insure 100% damage free delivery. Inside the tube portrait is protected with layers of plastic and paper, to make sure it won't be scratched when you will be taking it out.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Do you frame the portraits?<\/div>

No, I do not frame them, I.m sending you only the original artwork, so you could choose the frame after your liking at your local framing store. That's why I often recommend choosing the typical size for the portrait, so you could fit it to any typical size of the frame out there.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What paper & tools do you use for the portrait?<\/div>

Paper:<\/em><\/strong> Most of the times the papers I tend to use are \u00a0a high quality smooth surface cartridge paper made by local famous printing company General Print, these are 100% acid free, very thick papers and are great for the graphite and colour portraits as the surface has a little more of a grain than the even smoother than surface of Bristol boards, which I sometimes use for the graphite portraits as well. Especially if I\u2019m going for the totally white surface as the cartridge paper I use is an off white.<\/p>\n

Pencils: <\/strong><\/em>I love working with best brands ever existed \ud83d\ude42 such as \"Faber-Castell\", \"Derwent\", \"Koh-i-Noor\", \"PrismaColor\" and recently am very excited to work with \"Caran D'ache\"<\/p>\n

As for the rest of the tools,\u00a0I also enjoy working with ink, graphite powder, charcoal, water-colors.<\/p>\n

Do you apply a fixative over portraits to protect the surface?<\/div>

Yes, most of the times I do\u00a0treat the portrait surface with a professional portrait fixative, the main idea behind these sprays is to stop the medium from smudging, and to fix it to the paper, it can also help reduce glare from light, especially with graphite medium.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Is your artwork 100% handmade product?<\/div>

Yes, all of my works are 100% hand drawn, traditional artworks.
